Combining global shutter Full HD TV daylight camera with 36x optical zoom, HD and SD MWIR thermal channel in a compact form factor, it delivers crystal-clear, reliable reconnaissance data at any situation. Paired with intuitive mission software, it enables operators to control sensors, analyze video feeds, generate reports, and perform precise artillery fire correction, delivering unmatched performance for demanding ISTAR operations.

Threod’s in-house developed mission software, paired with eOpic-8 ISR and eOpic-8 ISTAR, enables operators to plan, execute, and control missions from a single interface. From sensor management, video-on-map, measurement, annotation, and target reporting to artillery fire correction, the system ensures unmatched ISR and ISTAR operations.

Features include scan patterns, geofencing, real-time aircraft monitoring, video footprint, payload fail-safes, and secure live sharing with archive access—enhancing coordination, analysis, and situational awareness. A built-in mission simulator with 3D synthetic view supports training and pre-flight validation.

Integrated onboard processing enhances high-quality video with real-time object and scene tracking, automatic target tracking, image enhancement, and recording. Operators can chat, record, replay, and export video. Video streams 1080 px 30 fps with embedded GPS and time data – fully compliant with NATO STANAG 4609 (KLV) standards. Video processors are capable of AI performance.

Direct-drive brushless motors deliver <55 µrad stabilization with zero backlash, maximizing accuracy. Vibration-resistant hardware and custom control algorithms keep imagery clean in demanding conditions.

Standardized interfaces and integration kits cut integration risk and setup time, ensuring reliable power/data links and rapid deployment across platforms. The modular design offers up to four sensor configuration options to meet mission requirements.

eOpic-8 ISTAR is equipped with STANAG 3733 compatible 50 mJ laser target designator, and designed for both advanced ISR and ISTAR missions: moving-target tracking, scene tracking, geo-pointing and precise target coordinate estimation, picture-in-picture, call-for-fire and adjustment.
