Threod Systems receives “Supporter of national defence” recognition
Threod Systems was awarded silver-level recognition as a “Supporter of national defence”, following acknowledgment by the Ministry of Defence of its contribution to national defence over the past year.
In June, the Ministry of Defence recognized 535 Estonian companies and organizations that have supported national defence. Threod Systems was among the recipients and received silver-level recognition.
The ministry is presenting the recognition for the fourth year to companies and organizations that make an outstanding contribution to Estonia’s national defence and support national defenders both in their daily work and during refresher training exercises.
Threod Systems received the recognition for the first time. The company was awarded silver level, which was granted to 100 recipients that provide various benefits and forms of support to their reservist employees and to the Defence Forces.
As an Estonian defence technology company, Threod Systems develops and manufactures systems that support the defence capabilities of Estonia as well as those of partners and allies. Its work has long been guided by a strong commitment to national defence, reflected both in its participation in defence-related initiatives and in the support it provides to employees involved in national defence.
Fourteen Threod employees took part in Spring Storm, the largest annual exercise of the Estonian Defence Forces, in May. During this period, employees participating in the exercise and other reserve training activities continue to receive their full salary, ensuring financial stability while they focus on their duties.
Of Threod’s nearly 200 employees, almost 30 have taken part in reserve training call-ups over the past year, contributing a combined 301 days to maintaining and developing their skills.

In addition, Threod Systems made a notable contribution to national defence at the end of 2025. Working together with the Reservists’ Fund, the company supported the acquisition and handover of a new ISR unmanned aircraft system, Eos C VTOL, to the Estonian Defence League. The system was purchased using the foundation’s funds, with additional support provided by Threod Systems.
